Digital Delight: Adobe Photoshop CS3 and Photography!
This lab/lecture course is an introduction to digital imaging as a valuable tool for artists and photographers. The course will focus on digital photographing and image manipulation in Adobe Photoshop CS3. Students will learn Adobe Photoshop as a tool for digitally altering and enhancing images for creative expression. Assignments on photographing digitally, digital manipulation, and collage/montage will be given. Class discussion and slide lectures will focus on the use of digital manipulation in contemporary art.

Some hands on projects will include origami, 3-D cards, and art projects using patterns. Computer projects will include simple computer graphics using Microsoft Words and more advanced projects using Sketchup. Sketchup weaves geometry and drafting skills to create two dimensional polygons and stretch them into 3D space figures and polyhedron. Students can even view their creations in Google Earth. |

The fee to attend After School is $185, for those enrolled in
the Daily Summer College for Kids program. Students attend one course from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm. Enrollment in day program is not required to signup for After School, however, a $30 processing fee will be assessed.
