College for Kids started in 1991 in response to creative teachers and parents in Saratoga Union School District's GATE (Gifted and Talented Education) Program, who wanted to stretch their students' imaginations and intellects over the summer.

They also wanted a safe college setting that would inspire students to think of their future in higher education. Finally, they wanted creative instructors who could present learning challenges in math, art, music, drama, sports and life skills.

We continue to ask parents and teachers for direction, and continue to hire the best instructors to help us get there. We welcome your comments and suggestions.
